AMANDA DAVIES
MANAGER
Lead Safeguarding Officer (LV 4)
Lead SENCO
Family Liaison
Hi, I'm Amanda and I've been working at Impstones since February 2008 and have been the Manager since December 2012.
I have lived in Tadley for most of my life and am married with 2 children, with one in Uni and the other in college!! They both attended Impstones, which is how I began working here:)
I have a great passion for educating children and feel this early stage of their development plays a vital role in how they will grow throughout their school life and then on in to adulthood.
I look forward to working with your child(ren) and your family to help you with the transition of separation and then on to 'big school' life!!
VICKIE JONES
Deputy Manager
Speech & Language Lead
Hi, my name is Vickie. I live in Baughurst with my husband and four boys!
I started working at Impstone in October 2014 and I am thoroughly enjoying my days at the preschool. Previously I was a paediatric nurse on the Special Care Baby Unit at the Royal Berkshire Hospital which I thoroughly enjoyed, however, I left to focus on my family.
I take great pride in working as part of a team and helping, along with the other team members, to give your child(ren) a positive, secure, fun and safe environment to help their future learning.
I am excited to be working with your family and I am always available if you need to discuss anything.

EMMA NICHOLSON
Senior Practitioner
Hi my name is Emma and I live in Tadley, where I grew up, with my husband and four
gorgeous, crazy children.
Before Impstone I did a degree in politics (and a bit of psychology) at Cardiff University, while also taking part in a
student tutoring programme at a junior school.
I have also undertaken various courses, such as child nutrition and health, educational psychology, understanding behaviour
in 0-5 year olds and makaton. I have recently gained my level 2 in mental health in children and young people.
I bring textbook knowledge, real life experience, and a passion for learning through play to nurture confident,
resilient, curious minds and a solid foundation for good education.

ELLY BURROWS
Trainee Practitioner
Hi my name is Elly, I live in Tadley with my Husband and 3 girls. We love the outdoors and have a dog named
Bonnie.
I have always had a passion working with children. I started my career as an RAD/ISTD dance teacher, teaching children and adults
of all ages.
SOPHIE PEARCE
Trainee Practitioner
Hi, I’m Sophie. I live in Tadley with my partner and 2 young children.
Prior to starting Impstone, I achieved a degree in adult nursing and specialised in Gastroenterology at Royal Berkshire Hospital
for 5 years. However, since becoming a parent, my eyes were opened to the amazing opportunities that learning through play can offer children. I decided to follow my passion and change my career and
I am almost qualified as a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner.
My eldest child attended Impstone and Cherry Trees Preschool for 2 years. She developed so much, loved her time here and made some
amazing relationships with staff and children. So when the opportunity to join the team came up, I jumped at the chance and I have loved working here from day one.
I pride myself in creating a fun, enjoyable and safe environment for all children attending our preschool. I enjoy planning group
circle times and 1:1 activities to provide children with endless opportunities to learn and develop during their time in preschool (and preparing them for 'Big School'!!).
I look forward to meeting you and your child(ren).
SARAH CHARLTON
Trainee Practitioner
Hi, my name is Sarah. I live in tadley with my two lovely sons and my husband.
I started working for Impstone Preschool in October 2024. Previously I worked in Human Recourses for 8 years gaining my level 3
& 5 CIPD qualification. I enjoyed my time in this role but I left in order to spend more time with my young family.
I thoroughly enjoy planning and creating activities for the children which in turn creates a structured and engaging learning
environment for them.
I look forward to meeting and working with your family.
BEN DAVIES
Playworker
I joined the team in the Summer of 2023, excited to engage with the children at the setting. Being the only male in the team, I bring a different sense of play for the children.
My main career is an actor on both stage and screen - you may have seen me on the TV adverts for Dacia! - but in my spare time away from acting, I love working with the children and being part of their early development.
In my downtime, I love spending time with my step-son and our dog, who we take for long country walks and building Lego!
I look forward to meeting you all:)
We work closely with local schools and colleges, which means at times we will have Student Practitioners within the setting. All of whom will be assessed for suitability and a dedicated mentor will be with them at all times during their assignment to our setting.
Our belief in learning doesn't stop as soon as a child moves on to 'big school'!
We truly believe learning is for life and we actively encourage all those that would like to learn in whatever way we can, no matter what their age!
